Dorumon had a few misgivings about bringing a hostile machine home with them, but he also decided it was probably for the best. They couldn't just leave it here, after all. What if it attacked someone else? Or what if somebody bad stumbled onto it, decided to bring it home and repair it? They could even make it more dangerous.

So the only two things they could really do with it was either bring it back with them, or destroy it outright. If they destroyed it, they would never know why it was out here in the first place.

Holland was trying to pry off the casing on the machine's head so he could get at some important components. It wasn't working for him; human fingers weren't meant to pry apart metal, it seemed. "I can try..." Dorumon nodded as he stepped closer. Running both paws on either side of the machine's head, he got his claws into the seams and pushed them between the two parts of the casing.

With a soft grunt, he wedged his claws in deeper and pried the parts loose from each other. Then he moved his paws so he had a better grip and pulled the casing apart, revealing all the electronics within the machine's head. "Got it."

Holland leaned back, resting on his knees as Dorumon tried the panel he was trying to pull off. He wasn't too concerned with the dirt he was getting onto his pants now. If he was that concerned, he wouldn't be going outside at all. It wasn't like he was someone who spent hundreds of dollars on designer clothes. He liked looking nice, but even he had limits to how much concern he gave to them.

Dorumon had better luck than Holland did in getting it off. Once it was off, Holland leaned forward to take a look. He wasn't the most skilled person he knew when it came to all this mechanical stuff, but he had better knowledge about it than most. He knew what he was looking for in basic robots like this. No matter the world they were from, they normally came down to the same sort of design. He let his eyes wander for a bit before he reached in and carefully pried a piece out.

There was a small spark, but nothing else. Clearly, it hadn't been properly shut down when he pulled the chip out, but it was now.

"Dorumon, help me get it onto Raikou's back," he said. That was the best way to take it out of here. They needed to get back to the Axolotl with it; his previous plans were mostly forgotten for now. He grabbed onto the thing's legs and dragged it over to Raikou's side as the beast lowered himself to make it easier.

Dorumon watched as Holland pulled a chip out of the machine, causing it to completely shut down. There, now they didn't have to worry about it attacking them while they got it back to the ship. They weren't anywhere near Konoha, where they had been heading, but sometimes stuff like this came up. If they wanted to go there, they could just do so another time.

Walking over to Raikou's other side, Dorumon grabbed onto the one arm that the machine still had intact. Gripping it in his claws as well as he was able to - he didn't really have fingers, nor did he have opposable thumbs - he pulled, dragging the bulk of the machine onto Raikou's back. The dragon then let go to grab onto another edge, pushing and pulling until it looked like it was balanced properly.

"I think it looks like it'll stay on now..." Provided that Raikou didn't go running and jumping around. Despite how lazy he seemed to be at times, the Legendary was pretty mobile when he wanted to be.

Holland eased the robot onto Raikou's back, examining each side of it after they got it up. He walked around the Pokemon, testing the weight that was distributed as evenly as it could be so it wouldn't be tipped off. Raikou stood up, fairly slowly. It didn't fall, even as he tried walking around in a circle. That was good. Holland didn't want to have to keep picking it up every so often.

"I know you had somewhere to go," Holland said, looking over at Dorumon. "But, if you want to come back with us to the Axolotl, I'll drop you off closer to Konoha so you don't have to walk through the forest." There was a good clearing in front of the village itself where a lot of airships and cars were parked when people came to the hidden village. It didn't look like the village was made to accommodate vehicles, and he doubted the ninja would be so ready to let them inside.

It also meant he personally didn't have to worry about anything involving Dorumon getting lost here again. Dorumon was kind of like one of his kids now, and he couldn't help but worry about them, even if they typically knew how to take care of themselves.

"Really?" Dorumon hadn't thought that Holland would do that. Not that he wouldn't, but with this machine they were bringing back, wouldn't he be busy dealing with it? The Digimon looked up at Holland and smiled. "If you can do that for me, that'll be really nice. Thanks, Holland!"

And Dorumon really meant it, too. Things were better in the Digital World now, but before then, he had been treated poorly by everyone except those Digimon who became his friends. But here, everyone seemed so nice to him... it was going to be a little longer before he could really get used to all this kindness.

Now it looked like they were all set to go. "Oh, wait a moment." Dorumon went down the path and picked up the mechanical arm he had ripped off earlier, checking to make sure that the weapon it was attached to was disabled. The dragon brought it back to Holland. "We might need this." If they did, then they wouldn't have to go back into these woods to retrieve it.

Holland gave Dorumon an affectionate rub on the head. He knew he didn't know Dorumon for as long as he knew some of the other kids in his care, but that didn't stop him from feeling just as fatherly towards him. Some of his friends back home would use this as a prime reason to tease and make fun of him, but Holland didn't care. He was older now; he was a father. And, he looked at these kids that were placed in his care because of this shift in worlds and he couldn't help but feel fatherly towards them.

Including Dorumon, Digimon or not.

"Let's get going," he said, giving Raikou a pat. The Pokemon started walking, moving at an easy pace so he wouldn't knock the robot off. Holland started, but paused when Dorumon went to grab the arm. "Good thinking," he said, taking it and tucking it in with the rest of the robot. They might have needed it or they might not. Holland wasn't sure, but it was better to be prepared.

He glanced back to see if there was anything else they needed before he fell in step with Raikou. He made sure to keep his gun in his hand, just in case.

Their trip through the forest may have been cut short, but Dorumon didn't mind at all. Any excuse to leave the forest sooner than later felt like a good idea, and with Holland offering to take him directly to Konoha later, he didn't have any other reason to be here currently. They just needed to get out of here without losing this robot they found or getting attacked.

Or getting lost, but Holland and Raikou both seemed to know which way they were supposed to be heading.

Dorumon was glad for it as he walked with them. Now that they were leaving for sure, he felt good, but he would feel better once they were out of these woods. At least he was leaving with his family and a story that he was sure to tell Mei once he was able to chat with her again. It wasn't anything too extraordinary by this world's standards, but it was still an adventure for him.
