Lloyd kept his eyes focused on Wes as he did his lap, even if that wasn't what Lloyd was supposed to be keeping an eye on it. A sharp turn like the ones that Wes was having trouble with was somthing he was likely to pull at any second to replicate what the issue was. That meant Lloyd needed to be prepared and focused for whenever that moment came.

He was right because Wes didn't call out when he did it. He just performed the maneuver. Immediately, Lloyd could see what he meant about his turns. It was kind of... awkward? Was that the right word for it? He wasn't really sure, but it didn't quite look right to the kid.

His mind went through what he just saw, analyzing it the same way he typically did when he was performing science experiments.

"Wes, can you try to again but can you squat a bit lower?" he asked. That would decreased Wes' center of gravity, something that was likely to throw a person off. As a small person, Lloyd didn't have that problem. Not yet anyways, and not the way that Wes would have it.

"Yeah, sure." Wes could see what Lloyd was getting at. That might work; only one way to find out. Casually finishing the lap he had started after the first attempt, he did another at the same quick speed as before and tried the same turn in the exact same spot. This time, however, he bent his knees a little more as he did, making his profile slightly lower.

While he still felt some strain and he overshot his intended stopping point again, he didn't go as far this time. The board wasn't as shaky, either. "It's a little better," he called to Lloyd. Adjusting his stance didn't make it too uncomfortable, even if he wasn't used to it yet. Wes drifted around in another slow lap as he waited to see if Lloyd had any other input to add.

Either way, this was something that required practice so he could get used to it.

Lloyd waited as Wes implemented the advice he had given. It seemed to help since Wes' turning didn't look as awkward as it did before. Lloyd thought that was probably the right way to go.

"I think," he said when Wes came over to him, "if you try to find the right angle of how much low you bend with a slight lean to your body, that should adjust it." Everyone was different with it, depending on how big a person was. Both height wise and weight wise could severely affect just how your turning in something like this could work. Even the weather could manipulate the results. Wind and rain could make it different than when it was clear and sunny out.

"It might take some trial and error though," Lloyd continued. That wasn't really something Lloyd could help with. Wes would need to test that part on his own. Lloyd was happy, though, he was able to be of some help!

"Trial and error's something I can work with," Wes smiled. "Thanks, Lloyd." The kid's advice had been pretty helpful and he was planning to keep it in mind. It was going to take some time finding those adjustments - even the slightest change could make a big difference - but he was going to work on it. Wes had already gotten this far in learning how to lift, so trying to fix an issue he constantly had wasn't going to be any more effort than all the practice he had already put in.

"Still want to continue practicing?" They had each worked on what they were having problems with, so it would be easy to just continue with that. But maybe a break from it would help - they were up here for a while now. It was important to stop and take breaks so you wouldn't wear yourself out. Wes sometimes had trouble with that when it came to other stuff, but he was at least trying to learn how to lift properly without overexerting.

Lloyd was really glad he was able to help Wes out. He didn't think he was always very helpful, so it was nice whenever someone told him he was. And, if it came from someone he respected as much as he did Wes, then it was even more meaningful to him. He rubbed the back of his neck, somewhat in embarrassed, but anyone would be able to tell from his face he was pleased with the words.

"I think," Lloyd said, "we should take a break."

He hoped Wes didn't mind too much. Lloyd himself was starting to feel the burn in his legs. He was sure someone like Holland could lift for who knew how long, but someone who was still learning like him needed to rest his legs. It was kind of like riding a bike in that regard - a pro could go for a while in a long race while a kid couldn't do that.

And, all this activity was making him hungry, if only a little bit.

"Alright." Wes didn't mind, since he could probably use a break right now, too. While he didn't feel like he needed one just yet, it would be better to stop now before he got too tired. They were also really far out and away from Saturn Valley, meaning that they still needed to fly back sometime. Instead of trying to head back to the village now, they should take a break and rest their legs. They could start heading back once they felt like they were able to.

Flying down to the top of a cliff, Wes landed there. He stepped off his board and sat on the grass, looking out at the area around them. It was a quiet and lonely place, but he liked it that way. He needed places like this from time to time. That didn't mean he had to be alone out here, though. Like today, there was always enough room for friends.

Raichu landed as well and flopped onto the grass, then rolled onto his back and stared up at the sky. The Pokemon let out a little sigh of contentment. A day out, flying with his friends. What more could he possibly want?
