Aiming properly was a lot harder than most people thought it was. Sagiri had seen those moving plays people put on the television - movies, she supposed they were called - and a lot of the logic and physics in them simply didn't make sense. It was all obviously fake.

What Sagiri did wasn't fake. She was skilled in this art form, more so than most people she knew. She wasn't someone who was used to bragging, but she also wasn't someone who downplayed her own skills. There simply wasn't a point to something like that.

She moved until she was in the angle she wanted to be in, watching as she remained still and poised. Her hand was already pulled back, her kunai in it so she could strike at a moment's notice. She watched the draugr move back and forth, switching targets rapidly. She waited until it moved and was facing her. Then, she threw.

Her kunai hit right at the joint she wanted it to, knocking the draugr's jaw clean off its face. She ran at it and dove in front of it, rolling so she could grab her kunai back.

"It can't Shout now," she said to the others. Now was the time to take it out.

Sagiri's aim was true. Separating his weapon back into its three pieces, Freyjadour moved in.

The draugr made a gurgling noise as it tried to Shout, but no words came out. Freyjadour struck it in the chest before it could get its bearings. Then he unleashed a flurry of attacks, blocking the creature's sword each time it tried to get its own attacks in. The Prince knocked it back and down to the floor, then moved back to allow the mages to pelt it with their spells.

Rising to its feet, the Death Overlord didn't seem to care much that it was on fire. It staggered towards them, weakly swinging at them with its blade. Freyjadour added to the fire by activating his Rage Rune and casting Dancing Flames. A stronger spell in a space that was closed in like this would be hazardous.

Sagiri's jaw attack had did the trick. The draugr was no longer capable of Shouting at them. That had been the thing that was most trying against them. They were able to get in close now for the attack.

Sagiri didn't bother moving in too closer, though. She was typically a long distance fighter as her main weapons were throwing projectiles that she was able to use with deadly accuracy, as she had just proven against the draugr already. And, the Prince was a duelist; getting in close one-on-one was his thing. She wasn't going to disrupt his usual flow of battle when he already had to pay attention to the mages who were assisting by casting spells.

Instead, she stayed back, using both her kunai and her Flowing Rune to do some damage to the draugr. It worst came to worst, she would activate her Shrike Rune and go in for the kill. She didn't think the draugr would be able to handle a pure punch from it.

Freyjadour waited until the current round of spells was finished, then he went in for the kill. The draugr was stumbling towards some of the mages, but he dashed in from behind, slamming one end of his sansetsukon against the side of its head. There was a crack as the draugr's skull - brittle from the magic spells - shattered from the attack. The undead warrior fell lifelessly to the floor.

The Prince stepped back, switching his weapon to its staff form. After a moment, he poked the draugr with the weapon, to see if it would move again - destroying an undead's head didn't always kill it. But this time, the draugr remained silent and still. The mages set about surveying the damage and seeing if anyone was injured.

"That... that wasn't supposed to happen," remarked the teacher. Freyjadour looked at him as he separated the pieces of his sansetsukon and folded it up, slipping it back into its holster. "I was pretty sure that the draugr sleeping in there had been one of the more common, weaker ones."

"Are you sure?"

"Why, yes, Your Highness. I checked it myself before sealing it back up. There hadn't been anything unusual about it."

Sagiri sheathed her kunai once the draugr was good and dead. Good and dead again. She knew a few good people who would be able to make a really good joke out of that. Sagiri wasn't really able to do that. Most jokes didn't come easy to her. She simply wasn't a jokester. Jokes were discouraged in the group that raised her.

A lot of things were discouraged in Nether Gate.

Sagiri approached the draugr. She nudged it with her foot. It did nothing but rock gently with the motion. She didn't look up as the Prince questioned the mages. They were sure that there hadn't been a higher level draugr in the casket when they had placed it in there. That was... curious.

"Could it have been tampered with?" Sagiri asked. She still didn't look up, simply staring down at the draugr. What was the difference between draugr anyway? Was this one simply a more powerful person in life and so they were stronger in death? That would have made sense to her. She would have to research more about draugr and their history. "How well was this thing guarded before you rolled it out?"

"We had the coffin chained up, as you saw, miss." The teacher examined the draugr once he was completely certain that it truly was dead this time. After being nudged by two different people, it hadn't shown any signs of getting up and attacking them again, so it should be safe. "Only members of the faculty had the keys for those locks. The same goes for the keys to the storage room we were keeping it in. No students are allowed in there. If one of them does need something in that room, then they're always accompanied by an instructor."

"And the visitors to the College are screened at the gate..." Freyjadour mused. "The only way into this place otherwise is from above, and someone would've noticed if an intruder tried to fly here." It was impossible for anyone who was up to no good to climb both the icy cliff and the high walls of the College. Especially in Briggs' typical weather.

"Yes, that's right."

Freyjadour furrowed his eyebrows. It was possible that someone had switched the draugr. But who, and why? Only the staff had the keys and the only entry point into the College was the gate, which always had someone there watching for unwanted visitors.

No one seemed to have tampered with the draugr. If someone even managed to get in to have a chance, they would have had to fly in through the air, something that was very hard to do in the typical weather that surrounded the Briggs area. Sagiri imagined that there were certain creatures who were able to deal with that weather no problem, but she also imagined them to be rather large. They would never be able to fit into the College itself.

Everyone who did come in was screened at the door by the staff. Presumably, the mages here were able to find any tricks that an intruder would be hiding from them. But, what if they hadn't? What if someone managed to get in?

Sagiri thought maybe it was a prank. There were people who caused havoc because they wanted to see something they thought of as funny. Sagiri seen people go too far with their pranks before, harming people when they didn't mean it.

But, what if they did mean it? What if this was intentionally done to harm someone in the College? Sagiri knew that the staff here wasn't the main, usual staff one would have found in the College, as they were left behind when the College was taken. Maybe that meant someone was trying to pull something.

"This could be a real problem," Sagiri said, rubbing at her chin. "It could be nothing, or it could be a really big something that could cause potential harm to the people here." It would need proper investigations, if one wanted to be certain.
