Dovahkiin stood on the top of the wall that surrounding Trost District. Supposedly, a Titan, as they called it, was walking its way towards the small city to try and destroy it at the Goddess' behest. And, he was supposed to try a key to unlock a box that's prize was to make it disappear before it was able to do what it was planning to do.

All of that sounded like troll dung to Dovahkiin, but he was here anyways.

He had fought trolls and giants before, but the Titan was supposedly far larger than they were. Larger than the wall he currently stood on.

With a sigh, he turned away from the surrounding view - currently lit up with a sunrise - and back towards the town before. The people there were already on the move, trying to find the key and the chest at the same time. He was supposed to help, and, if the Titan got too close, help be part of the first line of defense since he was more durable than the people who were running the streets before.

Dovahkiin stepped off the edge of the wall and landed on the ground below with a light thud that was only that loud due to the clattering of his armour. It was time to get the search under way.

Cinnamon supposed - had she been capable of feeling it - there was a certain tension in the air, the sort that people said came up whenever they were dealing with something stressful, yet familiar. This area was in emergency mode. While a lot of the residents were searching for the key, others were preparing for the Titan attack. Even though it was here because the Goddess decided she wanted it here, they were treating it like any other Titan.

Was it really necessary to threaten people into doing things that you wanted them to do? Cinnamon wasn't sure if she understood the Goddess' line of thinking. But it was likely that nobody did...

Anyway, she was here to help. Trost District was the place chosen for this round that was closest to her when this all started, so she headed into the city and started searching, just like everyone else. While she saw some humans moving in groups, she searched alone, using her own map data to track her progress. Most people ignored her, being focused on their own searches. On this planet, a Reploid walking through a human settlement wasn't something that anyone would find strange.

Cinnamon hoped that they would find the key and open the chest. Not just this chest, but all the other ones, too. She liked this world and the people living in it - she didn't want it to get destroyed.

Dovahkiin had his sword on his back, as well as his axe. His shield had been left behind at the College before he had gone across the ocean to Dunwall as he wanted to work on using his axe since he hadn't done so in a while. He hadn't been able to leave behind his sword since it was his primary weapon. It had turned out to be a good thing. He didn't think his shield would be all that useful against a Titan. And, he moved faster without it on his back. He didn't have to worry about the edges getting caught.

Dovahkiin turned a corner and saw a young girl, who might have been part of the search. His eyes narrowed on her. She looked like no more than a child to him. Why was she out here? She wasn't dressed like the people who came from the Trost District, but she still looked like a child to him. He never approved of the parents who allowed their children to run around during a dragon attack. They were children and didn't need to be shielded from serious situations, but they were still the future and needed to able to live to be an adult.

"Girl," he called, approaching her. "Why are you out here? You should be taking shelter with the other children of the town."

Up close, she looked odd to him. It was like she was wearing some strange armour he didn't recognize. It didn't look like the armour from the Citadel, but he had a feeling it was something similar. Something from a time period he didn't understand.

Cinnamon was mildly surprised that someone would take notice of her. She had grown used to everyone ignoring her while they hunted for what they needed in order to get the Titan to stop. She turned and looked at the owner of the voice. A warrior? From a time that was far different than her own, one she had yet to fully understand.

"I'm sorry if I'm getting in the way, mister," she replied with an apologetic bow. "But... I'm supposed to be useful during times like this. If I can lend another pair of eyes to the search... then maybe it would help."

And also, people might get injured in all this commotion, either by accident or on purpose. As a medic, she had to - and wanted to - be capable of responding to such situations.

Dovahkiin looked the girl over. There was something odd about her, even if he ignored how she stated that she was there to help. Normally, children were less than helpful in a situation like this. It wasn't because children were always useless; he didn't believe that. But, certain children had a knack for turning things into a game and not wanting to do anything unless it helped them "win". Dovahkiin didn't have the time for that.

But, this girl seemed fairly certain that she was helpful. His eyes looked her over, landing on the symbol on the headdress she wore. He had seen it before. People in other worlds used that symbol to signify places they called hospitals, which were essentially healing houses.

"You're a healer?" he asked. That would make more sense as to why she was out here in the first place.

Oh, so he noticed? "Yes..." Cinnamon nodded. "I'm Cinnamon, and I'm a medic Reploid by design." She was also, quite literally, the Force Metal Generator. But that was something she was trying to keep under wraps. It would likely mean nothing to this man, but to anyone who knew what that was... it could mean that she was important. Very valuable.

So it was something that she didn't really tell anyone, just in case.

"If I can't help everyone find what we're looking for, then at least, maybe... I can heal anyone who gets injured." Someone might get hurt, whether on purpose or not. Cinnamon could also fight, but it wasn't her specialty - her attacks were weak. She thought she would be much more helpful assisting others.

So, Dovahkiin was correct in knowing that she was a medic. A medic Reploid named Cinnamon. He didn't know what a Reploid was. Was it anything like a robot? He had figured out what those were supposed to be, even though he found them to still be rather confusing. There were a whole lot of things in this world that he found confusing, but he just took them in stride.

If something was useful, he wasn't much of one to question the details, unless those details were trying to kill him. Then, he knew that all he had to do was kill it first.

"Very well," he said. He wasn't one to stop her from assisting if that was what she wanted to do. For all he knew, she wasn't a child either. That was something he kept forgetting about - people weren't always what they appeared to be.

"I feel this key won't be hidden anywhere obvious," he said then. He might as well share his thoughts on the matter with her, since they were both looking for the same thing. It didn't matter which of them got to it first. "Drawers, boxes, anything you normally would store a key in." It was probably tossed on the floor under a bed somewhere. That was a more likely location.

The Goddess wasn't going to make it easy on them. He knew that.

Cinnamon didn't think that the key would be hidden somewhere one would normally hide a key, either. There were simply too many buildings for that. Even if there were so many people searching for the key, there were still too many places to look for it within a set time limit. They wouldn't be able to search all those places and find it in time.

A group of people headed their way, splitting up to pass around them. Cinnamon let them be, staying quiet as she processed what the man had said. Somewhere that wasn't obvious... a place that a key normally wouldn't be found...

"Mister... maybe the key is in the very last place someone would look for it." A place where nobody in their right mind would check first when hunting for a lost key. But that brought up another problem - in this walled city that feared attacks from giants, where would that be?

The very last place someone would look....

But, if one kept in line with the thinking of the Goddess, it would still be someplace that would seem obvious, if one cared to look around them at the place they were at.

Dovahkiin took a good look around this place. There was one thing - one thing that very clearly stood out in comparison to the other locations, even if some still had something similar. The one that Trost District had was by far the largest.

"The wall," he said, sounding almost breathless in his discovery. "The key is somewhere on the wall."

Possibly the chest, too, but it was definitely where the key was. He hadn't seen anything when he was up there. It wasn't in an obvious place, then.

He looked back at the girl.

"Let's get on the wall and see what we can see from there."

The wall...?

Oh, of course! Nobody would be looking for the key - and the chest - on the wall! Everyone was busy searching inside the wall, so they probably didn't think to search on the wall. It made perfect sense to Cinnamon. It was clever, yet obvious at the same time.

"Okay," she nodded, using her map data to pinpoint the best way to get to the wall. "If we go that way..." she said, pointing, "we should find a way up to the wall that also allows us to access as much of it as possible, with few obstacles and potential interference along the way."

That was what she could infer from her data, though. The warrior could either take her advice or do something else... she didn't mind either way. Cinnamon would still follow him to help him search if that was what he wanted. She wanted to make sure everyone survived today.

Dovahkiin looked in the direction that Cinnamon had indicated for him. His eyes went up to the wall. It was a rather large wall. He couldn't recall if there was one in Skyrim that size, even if the walled in cities like Windhelm or Solitude. He was able to scale those walls quite easily. But, of course, those walls weren't meant to keep out titans.

"Let's go, Cinnamon," he said. She wanted to help, then she was going to help him. He had a better chance of finding the key and chest than most of the people who were in District, trying to find the items in question. He was paid to look for things that people had trouble finding. It was a skill he had developed over the years.

And, he had a strong nose. That tended to help.

Dovahkiin took the quickest route that led to a stair that led up to the wall. Dovahkiin climbed up them, going three at a time. When he reached the top of the wall, he felt a cool breeze going by. Instantly, he did a full circle, looking around to see if the titan was in sight.

It wasn't. They still had time.

"Let's get moving," he said, heading down one side of the wall. He didn't go too fast, just in case he missed something.

Cinnamon followed the man to the wall and up the stairs, her metal boots tapping lightly on the hard surfaces. She wasn't built for stealth, but at least the sounds were quiet enough that they could easily be overlooked, especially at the top of the wall, where a breeze was blowing by.

They stopped to look and see if the Titan was anywhere nearby. It wasn't, much to her relief.

As they started their search, Cinnamon scanned the wall while they walked along it. She didn't even know what this key and chest were supposed to look like, but she assumed anything of the sort would be easy enough to spot. It might just be in a really clever place. The Reploid checked any spots that might hide them.

She noticed that they were the only two up here looking for the items. Everyone else who was up on the wall seemed more concerned over the possibility that they were going to be attacked by a very familiar - and dangerous - enemy.

Dovahkiin was careful to look at the nooks and crannies in the stone face of the wall. He had been through many dungeons and caverns while exploring Skyrim, and there was always at least one thing hidden away in the cracks that most people who weren't looking wouldn't be able to find. Dovahkiin always found these things. He wasn't going to miss this key.

The problem was finding it before the titan showed up. After checking under a break in the wall, he looked up again, doing another full three-sixty view around the District to see if the Titan was approaching. It wasn't yet. That was good. Once it showed up, the people down below would go into a panic, he was sure. They had spent their lives dealing with the titans who had terrorized them. They had lived in relief that they hadn't had to deal with titans in this place.

He was about to turn back to his task at hand when he saw that there was someone on horseback riding hard to the District. He turned to look at Cinnamon.

"What do you suppose that's about?" he asked, pointing out. He had a hunch, but he didn't say it.

Cinnamon peered into whatever nooks and crannies she could spot on the wall, although she found nothing yet. She knew that this was serious, but it was also actually kind of fun, looking for something like this. This was what she assumed going on a scavenger hunt was supposed to be like. She couldn't know for sure, though, since she had never been on a scavenger hunt before.

She stopped when she noticed the horseman. When the warrior asked what she thought he was riding this way for, she looked at him for a moment, then back at the scene unfolding below. The rider was definitely in a hurry to get to the District... she could almost sense the urgency.

"He might have news about the key and chest that we're looking for, or maybe... maybe there's a threat on its way." It could be anything, and yet there was one very big threat that could be heading this way soon enough. It could've started moving far beyond their view.

Cinnamon presented Dovahkiin with two options as to why the horseback rider was in such a hurry to get back to the town. Dovahkiin would go with the second option, if he was a betting man. He wasn't, not even when he was around with his fellow Companions. But, if he was, he would be putting money down on the fact they would be seeing the Titan coming in on the horizon soon.

He hoped that damn thing didn't feel like running. That would make things turn into a mess quickly.

"We need to find that key, pronto," he said to Cinnamon before he turned to continue his search.

He continued moving down the wall, throwing quick glances for tell tale signs of where a key might be. And, then he saw it.

It was barely noticeable at first, until he had gotten closer. It was a nail, stuck into the surface of the sort wall around the walkway that kept one from falling off the wall and onto the ground outside of the District. He reached it. A small string was wrapped around it, dangling downward.

"Cinnamon," he called out. "I think I found something."
