Sayaka Akimoto the 10th21Aug. 23
HAIR: dark purple
STRENGTHS: fast, dedicated, adaptable
Able to take the lead and marshal the others if needed, Sayaka nonetheless seems to have moments in which she’s at a loss if situation’s out of her control. She can be argumentative and competitive to the point of forgetting her strength, but she’s able to get back on track once excitement wears off. She likes arguing and fussing over her appearance as much as any other idol, but she’s always there to lend a hand and encourage others in her own, forceful way. Whether it’s providing a listening ear to her friends or push them with physical training, Sayaka’s improving herself at the same time - she’s all too aware there’s always room for it. As she grows and changes, she ensures to pull others along if she can. She depends on them for it just like they do on her, and she’s able to acknowledge that.
Micsaber: a microphone that doubles up as an energy blade that can cut through most substances. As one of 00’s Successors, Sayaka’s very skilled with it.
Dimensional storage device: part of technology belonging to 0048’s idols, Sayaka carries a device that allows her to store a range of clothes and useful items she may need for any occasion. She can admit it’s a useful thing for when she needs to change clothes mid-performance or something the like.
She’d been on this stage for a long time. Since her own auditions, she’d tried to become someone else, and when she Succeeded, it was inevitable she’d be drawn to those she knew. And like the rest of the group, Acchan’s disappearance and Mariko’s subsequent transition to management was a blow.
Change was inevitable, Sayaka was aware of that. So she wasn’t too surprised when she was upstaged first by Yuko, then by others. It still hurt when she lost, though, even her crowning glory of third place wasn’t enough. Despite that, she chose to support them like she always had, and it paid off in friendship likes of which she wouldn’t have had if she didn’t have the courage to join the group in the first place.
This new generation was unusual. Sayaka met them when she went to their rescue with Takamina and the rest, piloting a LAS after those that’ll become the 77th generation. She’d been there when they started to train, took it on herself to show them how to meet others - though she’d be the last to admit she might’ve been too forceful about it - and led them when Yuko disappeared in an explosion of light at Akibastar. She didn’t expect Yuko pull off the same thing Acchan had, but it happened. For a while, Yuko wasn’t there.
For that while, Sayaka found herself stepping up and rallying the group, helping to negotiate with the species living in the DES-controlled world through their song. She found herself guiding more than she was learning, supporting the others as they led the way. She’d experienced wonder again as Chieri became the one to open the gate at Akibastar’s liberation, helping Yuko return from wherever she’d been. Later, she supported them as they helped to rebuild Akibastar. She had seen the emergence of the new Center Nova and Atsuko’s “return” in the face of one of the 77th generation’s understudies. That drew the point home - things have changed, again.
Last thing Sayaka expected was to find herself in this new world, wherever it was. It wasn’t anywhere she visited before, nor was it familiar in the way that other worlds had been. All she intended was to put in some practice before looking for others, and she mentioned as much to others. Instead, she awakened someplace she didn’t know and hadn't been prepared for visiting if her scheduled practice hadn't been micsaber one.
Her new goals? Exploring the new world and getting back home if that was possible, hopefully with 00’s missing members in tow.
Finding trouble first thing in a new world really wasn’t something she tended to be in habit of, unless said trouble was DES. Sayaka certainly didn’t expect to be attacked as soon as she got her bearing and stepped on the road. The creatures that tried to overwhelm her were not something she ever encountered, however.
The creatures fled as soon as they discovered she wasn’t an easy prey, but Sayaka didn’t know what else lurked in this place. She did realize she wasn’t anywhere she knew about, though. Pausing to catch her breath, she also took a moment to change her clothes from her practice ones to a more comfortable grey uniform with a flick of her device. Her hand slid back to the hilt of her micsaber as she took a better look around.
She seemed to be underground. The road in front of her was enough to tip off she wasn’t anywhere familiar. This wasn’t Akibastar, it wasn’t any of the planets she visited in all her time with 00, and it certainly wasn’t anything Yuko described of her own dimensional trip.
Sayaka kept walking, listening to the cadence of her footsteps and intently watching her surroundings. She wasn’t about to get jumped again if she could help it.
She had questions. Those questions wouldn’t be answered if she stayed where she was, so the only choice was to keep walking and consider what little she could do about this.
First, find civilization. Second, plan according to what she would find.
Even here, wherever this was, it should be doable.
