Now this was where his hearing really came in handy. Those guys were running around now, and Dylas could track them easily. They might as well be screaming at the top of their lungs - that was how stealthy they were to him. His ears twitched as he picked up the various footsteps, shouting and other sounds that allowed him to pinpoint each group's location.

One group eventually wandered closer than he wanted them.

"Not that way..." he muttered, sending out another small bolt to bounce along the walls. Dylas traced it as it quickly found its target. Cursing and more noise followed, and then the footsteps grew quieter as their owners headed elsewhere.

Meanwhile, other sounds told him something else. "At least one group's stumbled out onto the street," he reported. "Heading to the alleys on the other side, from the sounds of it." And away from them. Just needed to get rid of the rest, either by getting them far away or luring them to a spot they couldn't easily leave.

So they at least lost one of their little gang of followers. That was good, and now it was only a matter of time before they lost the other few people that had taken to trying to track them down. Talho had every bit of hope that this would end just the way that she wanted it, and then she could tell Holland all about their little misadventure and give Ninten and Rhyme lectures on crowd safety.

One would think two children that got kidnapped would know this kind of BS.

“Good, that gives us fewer people to deal with. Zorua’s doing pretty good at confusing them,” Talho commented. She was rather pleased now that the small fox Pokémon had drifted away from her trainer. With Zorua helping in dispersing their pursuers, they wouldn’t have much to worry about.

Around the pursuers, the scenery altered again. Pathways seemingly opened up where walls waited. Talho threw another rock to cause a misdirection, and Dylas was doing his part with small bolts.

“Come on, I think there’s a dead end this way…” Talho said with a gesture of her arm. “There might be something we can trap them with…”

Dylas continued sending the occasional bolt down the alleys, listening to how their targets reacted to being zapped. Most people didn't like being zapped, and he hoped that the combined annoyance of both the jolts and the illusions would soon be enough to drive these people away. He just didn't want to deal with them anymore - they had wasted both his and Talho's time for long enough. If he hadn't been actually concerned about her and her son's safety, he would've dealt with these idiots his own way a long time ago.

"Right," he nodded, following when Talho said to get going. If there was a dead end over there, then they might be able to trap the rest of these guys in it while they made their escape. They just needed to lure them over there - easy enough with his, Talho's and Zorua's different methods of misdirection. All they had to do was combine them in just the right way.

Working together, the three of them managed to escape the alleyways and avoid the idiots that were searching for them. Leaving the men wandering the streets blankly, Talho and her two companions returned to the area where she had seen Ninten and Rhyme and spotted them still doing whatever it was they were doing.

And, as a bonus, White seemed to be interrogating them, possibly looking for Zorua.

“Well, that’s that,” Talho spoke to Dylas, turning to him. “Thanks for the help. I found the kids and lost those losers.” Zorua offered a little bark of her own, deciding to put in her own input before rushing back to her Trainer. Probably a good thing. She was likely in a lot of trouble.

Finally, those idiots left them alone. Not by choice - they had lost track of them and weren't able to find them again. Dumb bastards. Some of them probably couldn't find their way out of the alleys, but Dylas had no sympathy for them. And he wasn't about to help them after all the hassle they put him and his companions through.

"No problem." Dylas turned from watching the kids to look at Talho. "You guys better get outta here before some other idiot shows up. I'll keep an eye out in case trouble heads your way." Wouldn't that be something? They just lost those idiots, only to end up picking up another batch while leaving the area. Dylas would see to it that the group didn't get followed out of this place.

It took up more of his time, but Dylas would admit that he didn't mind. Unlike some other people he had met, Talho wasn't annoying and he actually liked her.

Talho offered a salute to Dylas, also giving a smirk. The sight probably was slightly comical, what with her also holding a baby close. Still, he deserved the salute. It was all thanks to his assistance that today worked out the way it had.

With him telling her that they should probably leave, she agreed, nodding at his words. “Yep, we’re on our way now. Thanks for keeping an eye out in advance. Catch you later, Dylas.” And, with that, she had Adroc wave a little goodbye as he also offered Dylas a little spit bubble made out of boredom, which popped a few seconds after.

Talho turned, and headed on to Ninten, Rhyme, White and their Pokémon. Today had been eventful, and soon they were all going to be in trouble for what they’d caused.
