"Just think it over for now." Wes couldn't imagine recorders being very hard to find. Nor did he think that they would be all that expensive. But that didn't really matter right now, seeing as they were nowhere near a place where they could buy something like that. If Lloyd really did feel like picking the recorder up again - or maybe even trying some other kind of instrument - then he could always look into it once he had some time to think about it.

And if he needed help, then he would have it. The Network always helped each other, as both allies and family.

"So, are you done looking around this place?" Wes then asked. "We can head out if you're ready to lift again." They had enough time to rest, but he would only have them leave once he was sure everyone was done here. If Lloyd ever wanted to come back later, he was free to do that, too - this was just a hidden area belonging to nobody. The kid could even return on his own one day if he felt like it.

Lloyd made sure to make a mental note that he was going to try and remember to at least look for a recorder. He knew they weren't complicated musical instruments, so it wasn't like he needed to know all sorts of details about the instrument. They were mostly the same anyways. If there even was any differences, Lloyd didn't think they would be too important. He would just go and get whatever one was the sort of basic one that schools used.

But, that was enough about recorders. They needed to get back to lifting.

"I think we can get going now," he said, glancing around so he could absorb this place just one more time. He was definitely going to make sure to try and come here again sometime. He was pretty sure he remembered the route that he and Wes had taken to get here. He would be able to get here again.

Lloyd picked up his lift board and checked for any dirt on it. He brushed it off before he carefully got back on it. There was only a little bit of trapar here but he managed to get off the ground. He waited for Wes to lead their way out of there.

"Great," Wes smiled as he stood up, picking up his lift board. "Let's go, then." Raichu floated up from the ground and led the way, his Trainer carrying the board as he followed after him. Once they made their way back to the entrance, Wes used what little space there was on the ledge to do another running jump.

It wasn't quite as smooth as the previous takeoff, but he was able to get his board under control. Wes didn't have much to say until they were back out in the same open space that Lloyd had first found him in. Right now, he was feeling a lot better than he was back then, too. "Now that we're back, we should probably work on some stuff." They had decided to practice together and while visiting that cavern had been a good use of their time, they didn't get all that much lifting done.

They just needed to figure out what they were going to work on. Something they could practice and watch each other for any mistakes.

Lloyd followed Wes out of the tunnel, though he did move a little more slowly because he was looking around as much as he possibly could. He just couldn't get over how he liked this cavern. He was definitely coming here again some time. Definitely.

When they came out of the cavern, he winced a little as his eyes were greeted with the sun. He didn't remember it being that bright outside, and yet it sure seemed that way. It was honestly probably because they were in a darker place just moments before, even if there was some natural light in there too. It was nothing quite like the sun.

But, he adjusted to it quickly and followed after Wes before he slowed to a stop.

"Something to work on..." he mused out loud. After giving it some thought, he came to a decision on what could help him. "Maybe you can watch me doing some upward stuff? I'm not as good at climbing vertically up, unless I'm going real slow and moving horizontally too."

Wes could understand why Lloyd had trouble with climbing straight up. Not only was gravity constantly trying to pull you back down, but it also seemed more natural to fly horizontally. If the trapar wasn't cooperating, then that was something else to worry about, too. Anyway, if Lloyd needed help with that, then Wes could see if there was anything he could point out to him. "Sure. Show me what you got."

Instead of landing on a cliff and watching from there, Wes remained on his board. Years of training Pokemon and riding motorbikes had taught him a few things about moving targets, whether he was battling them or simply watching them. A stationary vantage point, while stable, wasn't always the best way to see everything. Being able to move and follow a target often provided a better look.

Raichu apparently had a similar thought, for he flew a short distance away and waited, as if wanting to see the same thing from a different angle.

Okay, so they were going to work on Lloyd's vertical climb. That was really good. It was going to be super helpful to him. While he could go vertically while also going horizontally, trying to go up without also moving forward felt near impossible to him. He knew it was possible though because he watched Holland do it several times before. He just needed practice, that was all.

And, he was going to get it right now. Hopefully, Wes spotted something that would be able to help him get better.

Lloyd moved so he was a good distance for Wes to be able to see everything. Then, he began trying to get himself to move upward. He bent his knees more and had to resist swinging his arms in an upward swing, as if it would help him which it wouldn't. His ascent didn't start right away and when it did, it was slow and shaky.

Lloyd's board jerked on the trapar, causing him to tip. "Whoa!" he exclaimed, but he managed to catch himself before he fell.

Lloyd's ascent wasn't what Wes would call smooth, but the boy did get the board to move upwards without causing it to go forward at the same time. It was easy enough to follow his movements, and the Trainer only had to adjust his board a few times while circling around to make sure he was at the same level as Lloyd. Raichu drifted in a little closer, making a concerned sound as Lloyd tipped a little on his board.

"You alright?" Wes called. Already, he had an idea of what Lloyd's problem was with doing a vertical climb, but he wanted to see a little more to make sure he was correct. If he was, then he knew how to resolve it, because he had a similar problem before. Once they figured it out, it would be just a matter of putting in some practice in order to get it right.

Lloyd wondered what falling on the board would be like, considering he had an ankle strap. It was likely to drag his board down with him, but was he able to get back on it and catch trapar waves again? Was that something that was possible? Lloyd hadn't fallen off his board unless he was a foot or less above the ground. Then, he mostly just landed on his backside and made it a little sore. He could easily get up and try again. He'd seen Holland purposely freefall before; did it work the same way.

Not that Lloyd should be trying to freefall or anything even similar to it right about now. He needed to get better before anything like that should even be on his mind.

"I'm okay," he called to Wes. "There was just a sudden excess of trapar, and it threw me off. No big deal!" It really wasn't. He just needed to learn how to deal with that happening. Now that he was steady again, he continued his rise upward. Hopefully, Wes was getting some ideas from watching him.

Wes stayed quiet while he followed Lloyd, always making sure his board was at roughly the same level as the boy's. While he thought he had seen enough, he didn't want to speak when he knew Lloyd was trying to focus on what he was doing. Instead, he waited until there was a moment when he felt like talking wasn't going to end up throwing Lloyd off.

"You might be standing a little too rigid, so loosen up a little." That way, Lloyd would have a little more time to react to any drops and surges in the trapar. Wes demonstrated this by slightly relaxing his own stance, riding out the bumps as his board lifted upward. "Control's good, but you need to go along with the trapar, too. Fight it too much and it'll make you pay for it."

That, Wes knew from experience. Not just from trapar, either. The principle easily applied to certain other things he had learned to do throughout his life.
